Cancer incidences in NE highest in India: Study

The northeast has recorded the highest cancer incidence rates in the country from 2012 to 2016, a study has found. A report of the national cancer incidences, patterns, time trends, and mortality that was released by Prof Balram Bhargava, director general of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and secretary, department of health research at the Union ministry of health and family welfare on Tuesday, stated that among men, Mizoram’s  capital reported 270 cancer cases per one lakh population, the highest in the country.  Read More
